We invite all members of the community to join us in celebrating 150 years of service.
Through music and words, the evening will feature combined children’s and adult choirs from across the Diocese—a service of lessons, hymns, and anthems—with a lively reception to follow.

On May 3, 1870, the Rt. Rev. William Bacon Stevens founded what is now known and loved as Episcopal Community Services. What had started out as the Philadelphia Protestant Episcopal City Mission of the Diocese of Pennsylvania has continually transformed to meet the ever-changing needs Philadelphia’s most disadvantaged communities.
For generations, you—parishes and parishioners—have remained our most loyal partners in this work. We hope you will join us in celebration at the Cathedral.
