Shellie Unger joined ECS in 2018. Shellie embarked on her second career in nonprofit philanthropy in January 2016 after a 25+ year career with Vanguard, primarily focused on leading and growing the Institutional Investment Management business. Since moving to Center City Philadelphia in May 2015, Shellie has tried to help spread the word that prosperous residents in the Philadelphia region can make an impactful difference by giving a hand up to the one in four Philadelphia residents who fall below the federal poverty line. Shellie holds a Master’s of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania, The Wharton School, Graduate Division, and a BA from Vanderbilt University. A lifelong Presbyterian, Shellie serves on the Session of The First Presbyterian Church of Philadelphia.
