Housing Specialist Services
- One-on-One coaching around safe and affordable housing options
- Discuss participant needs and provide resources
- Explore realistic goals and develop next steps
- Discuss low-income housing options available throughout Philadelphia and surrounding counties,
- Review qualifications and required documentation for housing
- Provide education around barriers that could negatively affect a rental application such as, previous rental history, improving credit, criminal background etc.
Scheduled appointments or open hours 4th Tuesday of each month form 11:00am to 1:00pm
Housing Workshops
The workshops provide education around home improvement, resources, and benefits that may be available. The ECS Housing Specialist coordinates and facilitates workshops and small group discussions to enhance participant’s knowledge of accessing safe affordable housing. Workshops cover topics such as rental and homeownership application processes, how to check for past evictions reports, addressing barriers around past debts, and other relevant housing topics requested by community members.
ECS partners are available to provide workshops to help the community gain knowledge on generational wealth. Participants will learn the importance of wills and resources to create one. Facilitators provide information to access grants available for first-time homeowners and resources to prevent the loss of your home.
Held monthly 2nd Wednesday of each month from 12:00pm to 1:30 pm
