WinterShelter is open seven nights a week from November through April for up to 25 homeless men.
ECS volunteers from the Community Outreach Partnership provide nightly dinners and companionship. The shelter provides a safe, warm place to sleep, meals served by our volunteers through, and counseling by a social worker. Each year many of the men are able to go into transitional housing or residential treatment programs.
The shelter operates in cooperation with Bethesda Project, which hires and supervises overnight staff, screens and clothes guests, and transports them to Trinity Memorial Church where the shelter is situated.
