St. Barnabas Community Resource Center Grand Opening

Saturday, June 4 brought over 200 visitors of all ages to the grand opening of Saint Barnabas Community Resource Center, which was reimagined and relaunched as a hub for the community in West Philadelphia. The day was packed with activities and treats – face painting, dancing and music, food and water ice, Zumba, raffles, and more.  Community partners attended to provide their resources to the attendees, and leaders were honored at the ceremony.

During the grand opening, individuals had the opportunity to take tours through the new center and learn more about what it has to offer:  from the industrial kitchen and dining room, to the food pantry serving over 435 families, to a behavioral health clinic.  Also included in the center are spaces for individuals to access other resources such as legal aid, technology, and a safe place for children to play.  Learn more about all the features of the center here.
