Episcopal Community Services is delighted to celebrate National Volunteer Week.
Throughout the year, our volunteers make a tremendous difference in the lives of the individuals and families we work with. In the hours spent mentoring young people or with lonely senior citizens, collecting goods for our food cupboard, and in gathering back-to-school materials for students, your impact comes in all shapes and sizes. And such impact is worthy of celebration.
From Sunday, April 7 through Saturday, April 13, we’ve organized a variety of events and activities for you. It’s our way of saying thank you for your generosity and to get others involved with the many volunteer opportunities offered at Episcopal Community Services.
Join us for a community event, to volunteer, and engage with us online through the week. Check back as details of the action-packed week continue to unfold.

Join Us: Talking Fatherhood: An Interfaith Conversation
Where are some places in scripture that explicitly dictate the role of a man or father? What are some actions/responsibilities for the role of fatherhood in your faith that appear to be at odds with today’s culture? Thought-leaders and faith-based practitioners will delve into the topic of fatherhood and how religion plays a key role in guiding fathers. Perspectives involved in this conversation will be informed by their professional experiences and with their personal experience either as fathers themselves or as children. Moderated by Rev. David R. Anderson, chaplain, this event will conclude with a lively Q&A with guests. Click here to register.
